The hooks work great. I hang my purse there when someone is in the passenger seat. But, if the purse is heavy, you may tear your rotator cuff unhooking it. Not literally, but anything heavy on the hook will be hard to lift off.

When first received these hooks I was ecstatic. These were so practical and easy I was almost embarrassed to have never looked for a solution to this problem in the past. I can only assume it’s worn down a little, but it went from being snug on my headrest to loose enough to knock off if it bump it wrong. I’m constantly feeling around the backseat for them.
It’s helpful there are two in a package, because I can pluck the one off the drivers seat when I don’t have time to find the one on the floor.
Honestly though, it’s only useful 50% of the time now, and I purchased them in January (now September)
