Worked fine 1st day received. I was getting to know the devise and was liking it. On the second day I mounted it on the outside 8 ft from wifi modem because I previously had it inside behind a glass window. The sensor was not picking up outside motion so I mounted it outside.. Once moved outside it said not online. I spent hours trying to reconnect with no luck so I did a reset. I’m still unable to connect. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I feel like I received a bum deal. I’m now waiting to hear from support after I sent an email about the problem. I’m ready to call it quits and accept that I wasted $35 bucks. I’m not too keen on returns because most times it’s too must hassle.
It’s day 3 and no response from support in regards to camera no longer work. I sent message 3 times. After 3 days of of trying to get camera to work, i requested a refund and ordered from another seller. I dont like requesting funds but after no kind of acknowlegement i requested refund from amazon. I liked what I was abl to accomplished on 1st day, camera worked great, but stopped working on day 2.
11/01/2023 – Seller finally reached out to me and is sending a replacement. I will give an update once received. I liked the camera when it worked and think i just received one of the faulty cameras. Nothing’s perfect!
11/03/23 – I received a replacement rather quickly. Camera works great, very satisfied.

I really like the camera, it has such good quality, even at night time. The only thing is, it does not capture motion outside. If I take it off and my hand is the camera, it will capture motion and send me a notification. This is frustrating because not too long ago, I was followed home which is why I got the camera. I’m going to give it a couple more days and see how it is, if not I’m going to have to return it back because then it’s making me less safe when the whole purpose of the camera is to keep me safe and my child. I do have the camera inside pointing outside so I don’t know if the window has anything to do with it but I am going to change its location outside and see.
Update: I placed it outside and it won’t detect anything only when there’s a brightness and I’m holding it then it will detect so I’m going to return it and maybe get a new one, maybe it’s a defect. Not sure.

We have 2 of these. They both would need to be recharged weekly, so we got them each a $20 solar panel from Amazon since we use them outside. We don’t pay any monthly fees for any upgraded service. We’re happy with the ability to monitor our chicken flock when at home and elsewhere. We also check on them at night to make sure the coop doors closed properly, and we look for mice at the feeders. This always captures large predators with the motion detection, but not the smallest necessarily. It never captured the fast mice darting about (which we saw while watching the live stream), but it would capture an insect flying nearby as a trigger. We set traps and caught all the mice after seeing them on the live stream.
All in all, very happy with these given their cost. Our only concern is that the built-in battery may be so cheap that, even with the solar panel, it might stop holding a charge…..only time will tell.

I’ve had blink system cameras for several years now but they stopped working properly, so I decided to try something different. I bought 2 of these cameras & I have mixed feelings about them. There are so many issues that were a dealbreaker for me, so I’ll outline the both the good and the bad here:
1. For some strange reason the video clips buffer in a bad way while trying to view them.
2. The audio is absolutely atrocious! It’s choppy & sounds like it’s coming from a tin can. If capturing sound is important to you, these cameras are definitely not for you. It’s really awful.
3. The video quality is pretty darn good & fairly comparable to the blink system. Infrared works good, and there’s also the option of “coloured” night mode (NOTE: The colored night mode sets off a very bright light for each motion detection. It’s basically just a flashlight. Not discrete at all, but some might prefer that as a deterrent?)
4. The battery life is impressive (assuming I can trust the battery percentage shown in the app), but you certainly shouldn’t expect them to last more than maybe 2-4 weeks if you have a lot of activity in your area.
5. Charging the batteries seems to take an unusually long time. It took me about an hour just to charge 10%
6. Setting the cameras up is easy, assuming you have basic tech skills. The camera talks at you during the setup process, which scared the bejeezus out of my cat (and me) LOL!
7. Motion detection isn’t as bad as some reviewers say. It’s possible that the people complaining didn’t position the cameras in the way that’s recommended. (The app guides you thru this during the set up process.)
8. You are limited to capturing motion every 60 seconds. 60 seconds is a long time for your camera to be offline if an intruder is at your door a couple seconds after something else triggers motion.
9. I have absolutely no problem with the 20-second limit on recorded clips. 20 seconds is a perfectly suitable period of time to record. It’s the 60-second offline time between clips that’s the problem for me, because I have a lot of activity around my home.
10. As others have noted, you cannot save live views. This is a huge problem to me! The option to record is there, so I’m confused why it doesn’t save it. Maybe it’s only functional if you pay for a subscription?
11. Downloading clips to your device takes longer than what I’m accustomed to, but no big deal.
12. I didn’t pay for a subscription & found that what you get for free is absolutely more than enough for most people.
The app is disappointing for a number of reasons.
1. Firstly, you get logged out of the app if you open it on a different device. That’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s a pain to have to log back into the app every time you switch devices.
2. If you want to disable the cameras, there is no main “off switch” to disabled them. You have to go into the settings of each one individually to do it, which is a slight annoyance for those of us who want a quick way to disable them.
3. I appreciate that video clips you download to your photo album have a date & time stamp on them. (This is not a feature that came with my blink cameras)
4. As I mentioned above, the buffering while trying to view saved clips is maddening. There seems to be no good reason for this.
I ultimately decided to only keep one camera and return the other. They are so reasonably priced & it’s worth keeping at least one.
In summary, if you’re on a tight budget, I would absolutely recommend these cameras. They do the job well enough & are more than likely to capture an intruder if you set them up right, and the cloud storage you get for FREE is more than enough for the average person, which is why I give it 4 stars. If you’re a spoiledy-pants tech nerd like I am, you might be a little disappointed.
