This was just the right cost and feature level for my fam’s first attempt at a drone. Has all the right features without being too difficult to learn or use quickly. The nice carrying case makes it easy to transport..it is small and light to carry, which makes it perfect for throwing into the day pack for the day’s outing. If you are looking for super advanced features or a large ultra range drone, you may find better options for your needs. If you want an affordable and very capable little drone for playing and learning and a bit of camera work, this should be on your list. Images were clear and flight responsive.. lived up to what I expected of this guy!

This is the 2nd drone we’ve bought–we are gradually trying to go from toy drone to more serious, larger ones, and this fit well for our early “flying lesson”. This is larger than the toy drones, but is safe and inexpensive enough to learn on. The camera is okay though the picture jerks at times–don’t expect to see the high resolution, high altitude views that are on the news (my research tells me you need to spend $400 up for that). It is very easy to fly and is responsive. We don’t know the range yet, but it flies around our 3 acres. All in all its a good step up from a toy drone and the case and extra blades are a plus. We haven’t tried out all of the extra features, but will when the weather warms.

I recently got my hands on this drone, and it’s been quite the adventure. Starting with the basics, the drone itself is fantastic, especially if you’re new to this whole flying thing. However, there are a few bumps along the way. First off, the remote can’t quite handle my Samsung Galaxy S23+– it’s just too big for the holder. The software needs a little TLC too; initially, there’s no English option, so you’re greeted with Chinese characters when you tap icons. The camera, well, it’s decent but not spectacular. You can link your phone to the drone via its wifi connection, but there’s no option to save videos or pictures to an SD card, at least not that I’ve figured out yet. I’ve been using the drone without the software just to soar through the skies, but it’d be great to have the option to record moments.
I’ve read some reviews and it seems that they’re addressing some Google Play Store issues. So, that’s a positive turn. Overall, this drone is a mixed bag, but with potential.
