You might want to know (or measure) the overall thickness of your camera before buying this case. I have an older Nikon Coolpix S8000 that still works like a champ and I wanted to find a hard case for it. Granted, my older model camera is 1 1/8″ thick (powered off, lens closed), but it still fits in the bottom part of the case with only the bezel part of the lens sticking above the zipper line. Problem is, my Nikon AC adapter is 7/8″ inch thick. And when I try and put the adapter in the mesh pocket of the upper part of the case (as shown in the primary product photo), the case won’t close with the camera inside. The camera used in the primary product photo is clearly a prop because you can see how it is thinner and falls below the stitching line in the lower part of the case. Are digital cameras REALLY that thin now?!
The product details say this case will accommodate a camera that is up to 2.2″ thick with the charger and USB cable… NO WAY! If you had a digital camera that was 2.2″ thick, you could probably fit JUST the camera in the case… but there’s no way that you’d be able to get an AC adapter and cable in there, too. Anyway… I’m going to keep this case because I like how durable the hard shell is. I can get my camera and the USB charging/data transfer cable into the case, but as far as my AC adapter goes… I’ll just have to keep that in one of the inner pockets of my suitcase when I travel.

I gave this camera to my 5 year old granddaughter. She’s a typical 5 year old that loves to take pictures. This camera went on multiple trips. Was dropped a few times. The camera continued taking beautiful pictures. I highly doubt this product.

This case was recommended on the SWLing Post blog as a travel case for the Belka DX shortwave radio. I purchased for that purpose. Radio fits snugly in one side, central flap protects buttons and display, can fit 75 feet of 28ga silicone insulated antenna wire, Nooelec 9:1 balun and BNC-SMA jumper cable into the other side. Search for the “SWLing Post blog” to see examples of using this case for the Belka DX shortwave radio.

The instructions booklet was so easy to read and understand to set up the camera. I traveled to Europe/Asia on a 15 day mission journey and the camera was the best instrument for capturing my experiences. Pictures came out very clear. Thank you! I may purchase another one.
