    Form Factor + Charge
This mini-drone is the perfect size for on-the-go photography. It comes in at around half the size of our previous drone, which makes it less heavy, more agile, and better for families. The batteries have long last (haven’t had to recharge them so far) and it keeps us from annoying charging wait times.

    Image Quality
At 1080p, the images are top-notch for most uses. We’ve printed them out at 5×7 and they are DSLR quality. Export time is quick and easy — instructions are easy to follow.

    Packaging + Shipping
With some items on amazon, you never know what the shipping time is going to be like, but this arrived for me in less than 48 hours. It is packaged well and sturdy (like other reviews have said) and this makes it great for gifting. We actually hung onto the packaging for air travel with the mini drone.

    Setup + Drone in Action
Wifi setup was nice and smooth and we had no issues with the remote controller. Anyone who has used an Xbox will have an easy time navigating the remote control and the drone is very responsive. The noise is minimal also; we’ve had issues in our neighborhood with loud drones used by real estate agents and the buzz is highly disruptive — not here. The mini drone makes just enough noise you know where it is but it isn’t irritating and won’t be disruptive to neighbors or passers by. I didn’t setup the phone app to test it, and I’m sure you could, but the remote control worked great for our purposes.

Overall, this was a great spend and I’m excited to gift one to my father-in-law. I think that for hobbyist uses this is fantastic and it is more versatile than I was expecting!

The media could not be loaded.

While I already have a multi-rotor that has FPV capabilities, I wanted something more versatile so that I could fly indoors during our windy seasons. With the weather turning cold, and winds becoming unpredictable, I picked up the X-PACK-7 for indoor enjoyment.
Unpacking the X-7, everything needed to fly is in the box, including extra blades, a screwdriver for blade changes, 2 flight batteries, a USB charger, and batteries for the remote.
The remote is designed after the ergonomics of a familiar gaming console, with frequently used buttons intuitively located at convenient locations. The icons on the buttons are straightforward once you get familiar with the included manual, and a helpful feature is the wording on the front bumper buttons being written upside down. This upside-down wording stumped me for a moment, but while familiarizing myself during the flight, I had to look at the buttons to figure out which button changed the speed setting, that’s when it clicked, this feature allows you to read the buttons while maintaining your thumb and finger positions on the remote during flight. Another feature that is valuable for FPV flying, is the remote features a flip-up and extendable phone holder that is capable of holding a smartphone as small as an iPhone SE, all the way up to a Galaxy S10.
The X-7 was a little larger than anticipated with a 16-inch footprint, so the initial flights were held outdoors to avoid any damage. There was a strong breeze with 8MPH gusts, so an outdoor location shielding the first test flight was chosen. With a couple of clicks of trim, the X-7 was in a rock-solid hover. The X-7 was docile and stable but responded well to flight commands. Feeling confident, it was time to venture out and explore the different speed modes. This was the moment that the words on the bumpers being written upside down had their moment to shine. A quick punch of the throttle sent the X-7 up into the wind which quickly carried it far over the neighbor’s field, in a panic, the speed button was easily noticeable and the audible beeping easily confirmed which speed the X-7 was in. The speeds are 30%, 60%, and 100%. The default speed of the X-7 is set to 30%, this is perfect for indoor flight or for the beginning pilot. Stepping up to 60 and 100%, the X-7 is still solid in a hover, however more agile and responsive. With the breezy conditions, the X-7 handled very well and was able to power its way back to my location, with 8 MPH gusts it took a while, but the X-7 had drifted about 200 feet from my location. Some will enjoy the stunts that the X-7 is capable of. With a press of the right stick and a quick jab, the X-7 is capable of doing flips in any direction in which the right stick is moved. This feature is the most fun on Speed 3, but, when the X-7 stops responding to the flip command, it’s time to fly home as your battery is almost dead.
Nighttime flying is a blast, and orientation is easy to spot with the X-7’s 3 colored LEDs, the only time you cannot see the X-7 at night is when it is exactly 90 degrees to you.
While night flying, the X-7 proved its durability when a tree happened to interfere with the intended flight path. The X-7 handled the crash perfectly. Expecting to have to replace parts, it was a great surprise when all that was needed was to fold the X-7’s arm back out and continue flying.
Flying indoors, the X-7 handles well. In a small room, prop wash will keep you on your toes, but is manageable. If things get out of hand indoors, you will suffer little damage with bumps into an unsuspected wall, to either the X-7 or the wall. The X-7 is proving itself great for hovering around a living room when rain is keeping you indoors.
Controlling the X-7 with the included remote is optional, the X-7 can link to your smartphone through Wi-Fi and be flown one of two ways with the free Drone With Camera app. With the app open, a touch on the On/Off icon presents you with two sticks on your phone. These operate just as the sticks on your remote, and all remote functions are indicated by icons at the top of your screen. Another option for controlling the X-7 is Gravity Sense Mode, with this mode selected, tilting your phone commands the X-7 to fly in the direction of tilt.
While the app will control the X-7’s flight, it is also used for FPV functions, pictures, and recording videos. For FPV mode, the app provides a regular view, as well as, a split screen view for you to fly using your phone and a compatible headset (headset not included). While the split screen feature was not explored due to the lack of availability of a headset, FPV, pictures, and videos were. On your remote, a simple click of either the left or right trigger will either take a picture or start and stop video recording. During FPV mode, a simple click of the record icon on your phone will record your flight. When you’ve completed your aerial photography session, all of your recordings and pictures are stored on your phone for future review.
The X-7 is an enjoyable multi-rotor to fly, and with features like its Headless and flip modes, the X-7 is suitable for all skill levels. Its durability has proven the X-7 to be the perfect drone to learn to fly on, learn to fly FPV on, and light up the night sky.

I’m impressed by the ORKNELY Drone!
First and foremost, it’s super easy to fly and control. Even if you’re new to drones, you’ll find it a breeze to use. The drone’s control system is intuitive, which makes it a great pick for beginners.

One of the standout things about this drone is its amazing bang for the buck. You’re getting a high-quality product without breaking the bank. The value for the price is outstanding, making it an excellent choice for budget-conscious consumers.

Now, let’s talk about the camera. It’s seriously top-notch. The images and videos it produces are clear, sharp, and full of vibrant colors. Whether you’re capturing beautiful landscapes or recording fast-paced action, this drone won’t let you down.

Stabilization is key for aerial photography, and this drone doesn’t disappoint in that department either. Thanks to the built-in stabilization technology, your footage will be smooth and jitter-free, even in challenging conditions.

I was pleasantly surprised by the battery life. It exceeded my expectations, and having two batteries is a game-changer. You can easily swap out batteries, which means you can enjoy longer flight times without waiting for extended charging breaks. This feature will be much appreciated by serious drone enthusiasts.

The option to control the drone with your smartphone is a nice touch. The screen provides an effective way to pilot the drone, and it’s especially handy for framing your shots and checking the camera feed. However, I personally prefer using the joystick because it gives me a similar feel to video game controllers like those for PS or Xbox.

Lastly, the extra accessories that come with the drone are a great bonus. They add to the overall value.

In summary, this drone is a fantastic choice. It offers ease of use, excellent image quality, strong stabilization, impressive battery life, and a range of accessories, all at a price that’s hard to beat. It’s definitely worth considering for anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly drone
