Ok so I have black hair, straight, almost waist-length, with a lot of volume. And my hair is fine, but right by my forehead I was getting sooooo many gray hairs, which I hated and didn’t look very pretty, it stood out, and I’m in my early 40s, so it did not look cute. Even my kid was asking if i was planning to dye my hair any time soon. Anyways, so i haven’t dyed my hair in approx 20 years, and I have so much hair that even back then, it cost a lot to do just highlights. So i bought 1 of these packs in jet black, only 1, wondering if it would be enough. I did it by myself, put almost 3/4 of the dye on the top and front of my hair, massaged it in really well to cover all the grays, and then the 1/4 left, all over the rest of my hair, and massaged it into my roots big time. I was wearing the plastic gloves so it was fine. I left it for about 50 mins to 1 hour, beginning to end, cuz I got distracted and kinda forgot. Anyways, i followed the rest of the instructions and the results were amazing. I cleaned my bits of stained forehead with little toner cotton pads, it came off very easy. The results? I have no white hair, at all, and my hair looks shiny. To be honest i really doubted it would work because all the hairstylists I used back then said my hair was so black it was hard to dye. So i was hoping and wishing it’d work. Well it did. I will be buying this again for sure once my roots grow. It was pretty easy to use so i can do it myself again. Saved me a trip to the salon. I’m wondering now if i can dye my hair a different color in the future since this worked out so well….very very happy, my husband and kid were like “wow, looks really good” and i feel 10 years younger.

What a great hair color! It’s my first time using this brand (made the change from Garnier Nutrisse) and it’s been such an improvement. It’s gentle on my scalp, the color looks rich (Chocolate Cherry), and my kiddos said the smell was nice. I’m sold! I look forward to continuing to use this product.

Very good hair color, I am allergic to ppd chemical in most hair color, this is one of the only ones I can use now without irritation, so for that fact I think it is great. Unfortunately, it does not last as long as most hair color, it seems to fade, wash out, hair growing out within 2 weeks or so, therefore I do feel the need to color once a month, but once again without breakouts, itchiness, irritation, etc. I love it!

Hope in a container! My rebelious white hairs FINALLY tamed! I used this 5 years ago before white hairs took over my head lol I am SUPER CONTENT ! Definitely will do touch ups with this same color and brand ! My white and half salty/pepper result was a beautiful auburn dark brown with reddish shine tones. LOVE IT!!

The closest my camera came to catching the color right, was the one picture I uploaded. First thing that really stuck out to me was while I was rinsing the dye out my hair it felt so soft. In my experience that’s when your hair feels stiff and damaged until you put the included conditioner in, but nope. My hair was silky while rinsing the dye out which makes me feel like my hair wasn’t damaged at all during the process. Second was it only had a mild sting in the being but that faded quickly. I didn’t like the smell at all but it wasn’t powerful enough to make it out of my bathroom. I saw reviews that mentioned liking the smell but I didn’t like it, it was not pleasant for me. Afterwards the amazing softness in my hair is great. Makes my hair feel like it did a long time ago so healthy and shiny. The color was dark almost black but i think if I’d stopped at about 25 min it wouldn’t have been but I left it on about 35 min. I’m very pleased with it. In certain lights and when I’m outside you can see this bronze or almost reddish tint but just a tint this color is definitely dark chocolate. Wish I could take a better picture too show how beautiful it is.

I bought this product cause I wanted a more “clean” option. The packaging as a while seems more recyclable and I love that. I did notice that it wasn’t as pungent as most hair dyes and the whole process was easy. I do love that the color was subtle and it left my hair feeling very soft and shiny. However, I blame myself because it was probably user error since some of my gray hairs aren’t colored but I bought two boxes just for that reason. I will be doing the second box soon and may post an update but I’m sure it’ll just darken my hair more and the red will pop!

I like it because of it’s no ammonia etc but that also means it doesn’t cover the grey enough or for a longer time than permanent. But you can’t have it both ways, I guess. The length of time to keep it on is as long as the permanent dye so if you are looking for a no ammonia dye, then sure use it BUT it’s super expensive compared to the Drugstore options.

I liked that the product did not have any strong odours, and did not dry out my hair. It hides the grey hair, and provided a nice shine, but it did not lighten my hair. I have dark blonde hair, and this light blonde hair colour didn’t change the colour of my hair. I left the product on for 35 minutes after applying. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are expecting a colour change.

For the price, I can’t believe how much I like this hair dye. It feels and looks like I got my haid done professionally. My hair feels healthy, looks great–super soft and shiny, and the color is exactly what I wanted. A nice, dark, rich chocolate brown that came out so even that it looks completely natural. The chemical smell that all hair dyes have is minimal–I’ve definitely smelled worse. I washed my hair probably ten times before noticing fading, so I’d say this color holds exceptionally well. The only con–buy your own gloves because the crispy oversized gloves they give you are so hard to work with.

I am allergic to all the hair colours in the market but so far I am happy with this product.

I used the Jet Black. Covered grays completely after 40min., cap not needed either and does not come with one. My hair is barely at shoulders, fine, curly had enough to cover it all well. I used to use Henna but just too drying after a while. Switched to non damaging semi permanent dye, sucks caus it is messy, bleeds out when in rain, sweating, swimming, etc. Just not worth it. Stopped using for a few weeks before trying this. Having a hard time finding a quality at home color that was not damaging with the least chemicals that could adequately cover grays, etc. This seems to be the best I could find so far.
Hair was slightly dry, just a tad after the conditioner. Because of my hair, age, etc. I only use Moroccan Method cleansers and conditioners, completely botanical, more like creams. Avoiding what I can for chemicals, aside from coloring every 7 weeks. I do wish they’d get rid of the sulfates in this – drying to the hair. Keep working towards fewer chemicals.
Overall, very satisfied. I’ll have to use it at least 6 months, doing my best to just keep future applications on root growth, to see if it eventually causes damage over time.

September – Quick update. It has been over 1-1/2 weeks. Washed a few days after color, had some slight color bleed during wash. No color bleed during second wash. Grays still fully covered, amazingly. Biggest notice is there was no added hair shedding or even breakage, which is usually common the first week or two after a color. Just typical daily normal shedding. I like to oil the ends of my hair a few hours before bed, helps keep condition as some prior color damage still needs to grow out. Still very happy with this hair color to date.
