I’m 36, and I’ve struggled with EXTREME breakage for the past year and a half due to flat ironing my long, thick hair every day since I was 18 years old. How extreme? Let’s put it this way. If I brushed my hair, it would automatically get tangled in a knot somehow, and a whole patch of it would fall out. I found balls of hair on my carpet every day, and it was freaking me out to see that my hair had become this damaged. I couldn’t even believe there was still so much hair left on my head at the rate at which it was falling out. Even getting trims wouldn’t prevent my ends from splitting and falling out.

I knew I had to do something about this issue quick because I don’t want to end up with bald spots. Anyway, I searched online for products that were good for repairing heat damage, and I read about Olaplex. I tried their pre-shower hair mask, and it has been working wonders. Yes, it’s expensive (and that’s the only reason I gave the product four stars instead of five). However, it did the job for me and results were immediate. I’m seeing a lot less breakage (no more hair balls on the carpet), and my hair is so soft after using it! Note that I have naturally frizzy hair (even after brushing), so a product like this is a godsend.

Note that after I was using Olaplex for a week, I went online to read some reviews about it on Amazon. I was shocked to read that so many people experienced hair loss after using the product. While I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, I’m wondering if these people were just using a product that was wrong for their hair type. It does make curious as to why people would use a product meant to repair hair bonds when they aren’t experiencing breakage in the first place.

I personally love this product. I just wish it wasn’t $30!

Smell is not to strong which is very important to me, and made the hair look fuller and healthy

Great for nourishing hair – obviously – it’s hair conditioner, however I still need to use mls of hair serum! So clearly not as good as it’s made out to be for the price. My hair is very fragile after a mediocre hairdresser made a mess of my hair after having lowlights put over high lift blonde tinted hair. The best product I’ve discovered over the years is Cocunut oil. Heat it up, pour over hair carefully from root to tip and leave on for as long as you can, even overnight. Leaves your hair completely moisturised and it’s about £2.00 from Aldi. Oh and try to cover your hair with turban towel to help penetrate each hair fibre…

I recently had the opportunity to try Olaplex No. 3, and I must say, it has completely transformed my hair. As someone with damaged and chemically-treated hair, I’ve been on the lookout for a product that can restore its health and vitality. Olaplex No. 3 has exceeded my expectations.

First and foremost, the application process is simple and hassle-free. After shampooing my hair, I applied a generous amount of the product from root to tip, ensuring every strand was coated. I then left it on for about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. The consistency of the product is thick and creamy, making it easy to distribute evenly.

The results were noticeable after just one use. My hair felt significantly softer, smoother, and more manageable. The frizz and flyaways were tamed, and my hair had a healthy shine that I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was amazed at how much stronger and resilient my hair felt, even after just a single treatment.

What sets Olaplex No. 3 apart from other hair treatments is its patented bond-building technology. It works by repairing and reconnecting the broken disulfide bonds in the hair, which are often damaged due to chemical treatments, heat styling, and environmental factors. This innovative formula not only repairs the hair but also prevents future damage, making it a must-have for anyone with damaged or over-processed hair.

Another aspect I appreciate about Olaplex No. 3 is its versatility. It can be used on all hair types, whether you have straight, wavy, curly, or coily hair. It’s also safe for color-treated hair, which is a huge plus for those who regularly dye their hair. I’ve noticed that my hair color looks more vibrant and lasts longer since incorporating this treatment into my routine.

The only downside I can think of is the price point. Olaplex No. 3 is a bit on the pricier side compared to other hair treatments on the market. However, considering the remarkable results and the fact that a little goes a long way, I believe it’s worth the investment.

In conclusion, Olaplex No. 3 is a game-changer for damaged hair. It has revived my hair’s health, strength, and overall appearance. If you’re looking for a product that can repair and protect your hair from damage, I highly recommend giving Olaplex No. 3 a try. You won’t be disappointed!

    READ THIS!!!

I first have to say, I don’t typically write reviews UNLESS the product blows me away, which is rare. To give you a little background about my hair. I had extremely HEALTHY, LONG, THICK blonde hair! It fell to the middle of my back, It was absolutely beautiful. I went to get it colored to give it a break from the highlights, I was going to change it to a strawberry blonde, which I have been many times before and other than blonde, its the only other color I like on me. When I went to the salon, they messed up the color. I ended up with hot pinkish, purple roots and a grayish auburn, mid-shaft to ends. I was in the salon that day for 7 and a half hours. They had to bleach my entire head and leave it on to get all of the screwed up colors out of my hair, resulting to EXTREME chemical damage and breakage. I went in with my hair being all one length to having bangs that were never even cut into my hair. My hair was destroyed and they had to take over 5inches off just to get the ends to LOOK healthy. My hair now sits on my shoulders and has broken pieces all over the top and mid section and all around my hair line. I have literally cried about this since it happened 5 weeks ago. It took me forever to get my hair exactly the way I wanted it and now I am starting over. My hair is no longer manageable, it is kinky and dry and looks it! The salon I had gone to was a new salon closer to where I moved. Prior to this salon I had been going to my original hairstylist for 15 years (I’m 30) so half of my life one person has touched my hair. I live two hours from her now so I decided to give a different salon a try and it was a mistake. I will now be driving 2 hours to go to her every 8 weeks. I texted her about 2 weeks after this all happened and she told me right away to order this product. I didn’t hesitate. I ordered it and received it the beginning of this week. I have used it twice so far and I will tell you what, after the first time I noticed a difference! I am excited to see after a couple months and using this 3 times a week (Extremely damaged hair should use it more than once a week). I also have been sleeping with it on over night which I notice gives me better results. This is not a conditioning treatment, so it does need to be shampooed out. I have a feeling this product will be what saves my hair. I will post before and after pictures once I actually do my hair so you can see the difference!

This is a leave in hair product. After washing and conditioning I towel dry my hair aplluly this product and styled my hair. My hair was instantly smoother and after a few weeks my hair started to thicken and just look healthier. So when used right it’s great! So unsure why people are rinsing it out after 10mins… Anyways use it right and it’s amazing stuff even for my old damaged hair

Recently had a lot of highlights and thought my hair was looking a bit dry. I bought this product having read some favourable reviews and I haven’t been disappointed. It was very easy to apply to my shoulder length hair and I left it on for about half an hour before rinsing off and quickly drying before bed, then washed and conditioned as normal next morning. My hair definitely feels softer and more manageable and I’ve only used a bit of product so far so it seems good value for money. I still have a bit of frizz at the ends, hence four stars instead of five, but I’ve only used it once so that may improve. It definitely looks and feels better.

Okay, so I just wanted to update my last review. The product has now arrived and it’s not the sellers fault that delivery was late. They did dispatch it really quickly. Olaplex 3 does work. I used it before when my hair was bleached and broken and I thought I would have to cut my hair short. Now three years later, I’m up to my old highlighting tricks again. This is a good product and a really good price.
